Safeguarding

We are privileged to have a great team that serves our children, young people, and vulnerable adults here at Ekklesia Hull. We deeply appreciate the time, commitment, and care they give, both on Sundays and during the week, in a wide range of ways.

We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in our community and have created this safeguarding policy to guide our practices. This policy aims to provide confidence to everyone working with children, young people, and vulnerable adults in Ekklesia Hull and their parents and carers. It outlines the guidelines to ensure the highest standards of safety and protection for all.

Volunteer Requirements

All Ekklesia Group Leaders and volunteers involved with children, youth, or adults at risk are required to complete the following steps before volunteering:

Application Process: Submission of an application form, including reference checks.

Data Protection Training: Completion of data protection training and testing.

All safeguarding concerns, disclosures, and incidents are:

Followed up promptly and appropriately to ensure all necessary steps are taken to address the issue.

Commitment to Continuous Improvement

Ekklesia Hull is dedicated to regularly reviewing and updating this safeguarding policy to align with best practices and current legal requirements. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our care.
